This book traces the transition of airline uniforms of a total of 80 airlines in Japan and around the world.
Uniforms in the airline industry are the subject of much admiration. Airlines, especially cabin attendants (CAs) and airport ground staff, are the identity and image of the airline company, so all airlines focus on uniforms, sometimes designing them with the prestige of the country.
Airline uniforms are required to be of high quality in terms of both design and functionality, and this is reflected in the fact that they are designed by leading designers in each country.

By reading this book, you will be able to understand the secrets of the beauty and functionality of the uniforms of most airlines flying into Japan.

For 38 years since its first issue in 1985, Air Stage, a monthly job information magazine specializing in the airline industry, has featured models of flight attendants, ground staff, and sometimes pilots on its cover. Over the years, Air Stage has been featured more than 450 times. Once a year, the August issue of Air Stage features a major article on airline uniforms, examining the evolution of the uniform. This book is a compilation of the history and knowledge of airline uniforms by the editors of Air Stage and the author.
The history of airline uniforms, which reflect the times, is also the history of clothing. This book includes not only the front design of uniforms, but also the back view. The contents are designed to be a permanent reference for those involved in uniforms and clothing, as well as for illustration creators.
