The first large format, full colour publication of the drawings of this artist who lived 1494-1557. These works are particularly important to scholars and connoisseurs of 16th century Italian art because most of Pontormo's paintings and frescos no longer exist.

This copy is in remarkable, as new condition and has clearly been safely preserved since it was printed  more than 40 years ago. There are 77 illustrations, all in colour. A truly beautiful, large format book.
