This is a steel third worm gear used in 1953-1958 Corvette Tachometers that have a Rev Counter. It was also used in 1953-1977 Corvette Speedometers. GM serviced this part for many years in plastic. This new improved steel gear will ensure longevity.
This gear was used in many other GM products that have the "Series W" frame mechanism. Check your manuals for specifics!
