Designed to block off passages that would otherwise feed the AFM DOD (Active Fuel Management/Displacement On Demand) system, these plugs can help to reduce oil pressure risk from leaky O-rings on valley cover.   Will permanently block off oil flow for non-DOD equipped engines, such as LS2 or 4.8.

The plugs are easy to install through their tapered interference fit.  Just tap in using a hammer so that the top of the plug fits below the gasket height of the valley.  Made from high-carbon bearing steel and precision ground for consistent sizing.

• Quantity 8 AFM/DOD plugs used to block oil passages in 2005-2018 Gen IV / V engines. Note: These plugs will fit any valley cover, as long as they are inserted below the compressed gasket height or flush with top of block.

• These can be used to block AFM oil galleys under the VLOM plate. The plugs install by slightly tapping the plugs into the oil galley hole.

Install until flush with bottom lip of the plug. 

• These are commonly used when changing the DOD/AFM Lifters to traditional LS/LS7 style lifters.
