1950

not a modern reproduction printed in 1971 from a Authorized Portfolio

Up for your consideration is a vintage 47+ year old print of Pablo Picasso's "The Ladies of the Banks of the Seine, After Courbert" , an unusual find from a vintage art portfolio. The offset lithograph was printed in 1971, Geneva by Cosmo Press and SPADEM, Paris  The oil this print is made from was printed in 1950. It measures approx. 17 3/4" x 9"  and is pre-mounted on black premium heavy weight Acid-free paper and is ready for matting/framing.

Technically, our Picasso prints are reproductions but not all reproductions "are created equal". These are rare, vintage offset lithographs produced in 1971, after the original lithographs and were distributed as a portfolio. They are not modern nor digital reproductions (using modern technology). They are not widely or infinitely available nor can any more be produced. As such, these are an affordable alternative to the original lithographs (running in the $100's and $1,000's) for collecting and decorative purposes.

It is a beautiful vintage print that would look lovely hanging on one of your walls! (see other Picasso listings for those other walls or for gifts!)
