Offered here is an antique hand-carved wood statue or effigy of a fisherman, made in China.  This piece features glass eyes and teeth, and most likely dates to the Republic period, or perhaps the very late Qing Dynasty.  I would place an age range at about 1905 to 1925.
Dimensions:

Approximately 8.5" tall and 3" wide at the shoulders

Condition:

Thin sliver/chip along edge rope and surface of little finger on left hand. There are also age-related expansion cracks from the swelling of the wood post-production. Light dust - I have not tried to clean or restore this piece in any way. See pictures.

Thanks for looking!
