Our replacement Blu-Ray Disc Drive Assembly is fairly easy to install, but does require some minor technical skills. It is an OEM direct replacement for the Xbox ONE S 1681 model so it fits directly into the Xbox ONE S enclosure. The disc drive PCB (disc drive board) and the motherboard are paired or "married" in ALL Xbox ONE S consoles, so the PCB from the defective drive will need to be swapped over to this replacement drive. Some minor soldering is required to complete installation. After you have installed your PCB just re-install the anti-vibration bezel onto the back of the drive, plug the data and power cables into the motherboard, put the drive into place. Reassemble your Xbox ONE S console, and you’re all done!
