Very scarce Mint Julep silverplate trophy cups from the Essex Country Club in Manchester by the Sea Massachusetts.
In the classic Patrick Henry pattern with beaded rim and base, flat bottoms for better mint muddling, and tapered shape.
Engraved with the seal of the club, featuring a sailing ship and the founding date of 1893.
Marked "1998" and "1999 Tennis" respectively - they were awarded as club trophies
The Essex Country Club in Manchester By the Sea was founded in 1893, and was the first 9 hole course in the US. It was the 6th member club in the USGA, and the expanded 18 hole course was designed by the renowned Donald Ross, who was the club pro at the time (just before World War 1).

Very nice, although they could use a good polish. No dings or dents, no signs of use or wear. No brassing or plating losses.
