The Volant 18947 Closed Box Cold Air Intake System is designed for the Toyota 4Runner equipped with the 4.7L V8 engine from 2003 through 2004. By replacing the restrictive factory airbox and ducting with a larger, insulated closed box and a high‑flow Volant Pro‑5 oiled cotton gauze filter, this intake helps deliver cooler, denser air to the engine for better combustion efficiency and enhanced performance over the stock setup. Its high‑velocity venturi adapter assists in smoothing airflow through the mass air sensor, promoting improved throttle response and potential horsepower gains.
Built for durability, the intake includes a cross‑link polyethylene airbox and premium silicone connectors with marine‑grade stainless steel clamps for a secure direct bolt‑on installation using existing factory mounting points.
