For your consideration is a limited edition pencil signed etching by an unknown artist. It is printed on thin Japanese style paper. The image size is 7" by 8" and the sheet size is 8 3/4" by 9 3/4". It is numbered 12/50? as shown. Edges of paper toned from old mat board. The image depicts what I believe to be the Christian Cross inside the landmark of the Four Posts in Avila, Spain. It has the Sagot, Paris blindstamp under signature as shown. Old tape remnants on top edge of sheet as shown. The visionary print dealer Edmond Sagot (1881–1930) was the first to recognize the commercial possibilities offered by the huge upsurge in fine-art printmaking. As mentioned, I do not know the maker of this print but I am sure some knowledgeable ebayer does. The print and paper have no rips, tears, or holes. Please see photos for markings and condition.
