You are purchasing an original ephemera/paper item from Detroit, Michigan, USA.

SUBJECT: Sales ticket, on heavy stock from the J.H. Black & Company. This is from a man named George Davis of Grand Rapids, who owned the Stowe Davis Furniture Company. He ordered curtains while he was traveling to Detroit.

DATE: September 9, 1886.
CAPTION: "From J.H. Black & Co. 154 & 156 Woodward Ave and 19 Monroe Ave., Detroit, Mich. Wholesale and retail dealers in carpets, curtains, oil cloths, linoleums, mattings, rugs, etc. Mr. Geo. Davis of Grand Rapids. Deliver to Brunswick Hotel." On the back, it gives the date and "1 pan lace curtains." and "Paid Sep 6 1886." 
SIZE: 6.25 by 3 inches.

CONDITION: Very nice condition. Some light yellowing from age.
