This subtly humorous and delightful design by Bob Fried was for a 1968 run of shows at the Avalon. Bob Fried was one of the most highly regarded poster artists of the era. Fried was a trained commercial artist who taught at the San Francisco Art Institute. Like the work of his friend Victor Moscoso, Fried’s formal training gave his work remarkable precision and restraint, creating designs that explored geometry and color in a strikingly unique style.

You’ll likely never find this poster of this magnitude ever again (if it exists) so don’t miss out.  This is definitely not only a piece of art to display, but also an investment piece.  Collectibles (baseball cards, comics, vintage toys and video games) have all skyrocketed in the past few years.  Graded concert posters are an underappreciated market so don’t let this gem pass you by.
