1938 Type 1 Joe DIMAGGIO NY Yankees Vintage Original Baseball Photo

Available is this January 21, 1938, Stylist image of Joe DIMAGGIO "The Yankee Clipper" on his way to negotiate with 
Yankee owner Colonel Jacob Ruppert for his new contract.
Unfortunately, Jake wouldn't barge and Joe had to settle for a mere $25,000 rather than the $40,000 he knew he was worth to the Yankees. 
Joe was quoted as saying, "What I say about the Colonel is not a lot of soft soap. He offered me $25,000. I believed I was worth as much as $40.000."

Crop marks on Front, Newspaper Caption and date stamped on back....
