CANVAS Snowman by Amy Valiante 16x12 Christmas Holiday Painting Reproduction Art Print This artwork was inspired by the love of snowmen. I love snowmen. Blue colors of frosty air painted against the red hat, orange nose, brown handstick and black coal eyes turned out to be great compliments to the scene. Acrylic paints, brushwork was worked in multiple layers. Letting the layers below show through in some areas allowed the subject appear 3D. Background was painted first, then shapes of the snowman later layered on top. A sponge tapping technique was applied on the final stages.
