Launched in 1988, Discovery was an educational partwork, designed and published in the UK by Marshall Cavendish. 

Each issue focused on a figure from history and consisted of a magazine plus a number of extras which included posters, models to make, board games, facsimiles of historical documents and other activity projects. All of this contained and presented in a cardboard sleeve. 

60 issues were published in total along with a Summer and Christmas Special issue.
