NEW 15-pc Japanese Geisha Demitasse Set
featuring Nobleman's Carriage

Description

15-piece porcelain demitasse set featuring an ox-drawn carriage in a splendid floral garden. The ox cart was a common vehicle for noble people in the Japanese Heian era (8th-12th century), which was lavishly ornamented to show off the passenger's wealth and power. And thus, this demitasse set profoundly represents the luxurious aristocratic society of those times. In addition to its gorgeous design, the cups will reveal another amazing feature when you hold up one of them the light. A lovely geisha lady with engaging smile will emerge through the bottom.

The set consists of: a teapot, a creamer, a sugar bowl, 6 demitasse cups and saucers.

HERE you can find more geisha tea sets/ cups and saucers. They are all brand-new.
In the mid 1900's, a large quantity of Geisha porcelain cup and saucers were exported from Japan mainly to Europe and Australia. Even though drastically decreased in quantity, they are still made in small factories in quite a small way. Accordingly, they are getting to be very scarce now. Even if you can find some available on the market, most often they are rather vintage. So please don't miss this new Geisha tea set.
