The ESI is the smallest water conditioner in Plumbing King's range. It is suitable for protecting individual appliances, such as boilers or washing machines. It should be installed on the cold water feed to the appliance, on a maximum of 22mm pipes. It is designed as a DIY product for the retail market, so is easy to install.

The Plumbing King's ESI is designed to protect individual appliances, such as a boiler or washing machine, and is installed directly before the appliance. We also supply a range of more powerful models called Water-King which provide whole house protection:

- How does the ESI descale existing limescale? Plumbing King's range of water conditioners are very effective at removing existing scale deposits. Descaling occurs within 6 to 8 weeks, as the scale breaks away in flakes as it loses adhesion with the surface it’s encrusting.
- Is the ESI right for you? The Plumbing King's ESI is designed to protect a single appliance, such as a boiler or washing machine. For whole house protection, you will need to choose from the more advanced Water-King range. Water-King is the only product of its kind proven to partially soften hot water and is performance tested using the IGC-335 test protocol. The Water-King WK1 model is suitable for most applications and provides whole house protection, while the Water-King WK1-E is a more powerful model for homes with high-output electric water heaters (6kW to 12kW).
- Why do electric water heaters need more protection? The recent shift to renewable energy has seen a growing trend in electric water heaters in the UK, but some of the design features that make these heaters work so efficiently (such as operating at very high temperatures to provide instant hot water) also make them particularly prone to limescale formation, and therefore require additional protection.
