This Sale is to Replace ALL the Pektron SCU relays in the unit 

(not as some others do selling on ebay - just change the one! )

Other pictures shown are for information and illustrative purposes as where the relay is located on the Pektron Unit(s).

• These NEW DuraKool OEM DG08-7011-35-1012 replacement  relays are the exact same, or higher Spec than the original  Pektron 0662P04A Relays, which are no longer available.
• They are made by the same manufacturer as the Original 'Pektron' branded relays - these have 'DuraKool' name on them - same relay  just without the 'Pektron' badge.
• The DuraKool OEM Relays have the same footprint (9 pins) and the same external dimensions with the same twin relays inside.
• Rated to 25 Amps switching loads.  They are an exact fit to the Pektron Originals.
• All made to the usual high standards by DuraKool OEM.  
• These RELAYS will fit any  MG Rover car manufactured from August 2003 onwards that uses these Oval 2 or 3 Button fobs.
• Also will fit the LDV Maxus Van Range ~ details below.

These Pektron SCU/BCU were fitted to MG Rover cars from Aug 2003 and contained 5 relays (pictures shown above)

All the relays are the SAME part number and Spec, so are interchangeable.

RELAYS

Usually ONE  Relay will fail and cause problems as detailed below - sometimes followed by another maybe months later.

So some consideration should then be given to replacing ALL FIVE to ensure that you will not have to repeat the process again.

Sometimes also the Integrated Circuit (IC) Controlling that Relay(s) may have also failed we can supply that IC and install, or just supply only.

IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING

Central Locking - Locks but does not UNLOCK or unlocks but will not LOCK

Drivers Window - Goes up but not DOWN or down but not UP

Horn or Fogs - NOT working, or if the horn is Constantly ON

Windscreen Washers - Front or Rear NOT working

Intermittent Wipers - or Super Locking NOT working

DETAILS

These are all normally caused by Failed  RELAYS in the PEKTRON Unit which can be replaced with the NEW RELAYS made by DuraKool.

The Pektron Relays are mounted and soldered to a multilayer board via through holes. 

Removing them via De-soldering and re-soldering the replacements  can be difficult if you do not have any experience of this.

Overheating can loosen copper pads and damage other components.

We offer a replacement service via post for 1 - 5 Relays

TOTALLY FREE BACKUP OF YOUR DATA FOR FUTURE USE

(We are the Original Company that first offered, and still offers, this service)

Before any work is done on customer's Pektron SCU unit(s), for what ever reason, we always backup ALL on-board Data.

This Data consists of the configuration info:

• EMS Code - sent to the Engine ECU to allow the car to start -individual to each car.
• EKA Code - allows the starting of the car when all fobs are lost
• KEY Fob Hex Codes -the barcodes that are encoded to the Pektron SCU unit
• Vin Number - Car ID number
• Other Vehicle specific data

This IMPORTANT data is initially backed up and saved to two different locations.
Then stored for the foreseeable future in the event that a clone may need to be made.
We can clone your original data to another spare or replacement unit and ALL the systems on your Vehicle will work as normal.

Some customers use this to keep a spare in the event of a problem, then the car is not off the road while repairs are made.

 

The RETRIEVAL and storage of this DATA is a FREE service offered to all our customers.

THE FOB(S) WILL NEED PROGRAMMING TO YOUR VEHICLE WITH THE SUPPLIED BARCODES

WE CAN PROGRAM THE FOB(S) TO YOUR VEHICLE VIA POST OR IF YOU CALL IN - COSTS ARE BELOW

You will have to REMOVE the unit from your car and post it via special delivery to us (Insured free for £500).

Always pack your Pektron SCU well before posting to ensure that we get it in good condition.

If you are ordering just fobs we will post them out that day if we have payment by 4pm if not it will be the next day.

Customers who have ordered fobs and also want them programmed will have to send their units to us.

 

PROGRAMMING & EKA CODES

We will program your new fob(s) to your Pektron unit the day we get it and post it back the same day.

You will get it back before 1pm the next day (except the weekend) this applies in the UK only.

We can also supply the EKA* code from your Pektron Unit -this allows you to unlock the immobiliser  so you can drive home if you lose the fob or it stops working.

PEKTRON SCU REPAIRS AND TESTING

We can offer full testing of the Pektron SCU Unit on both the YWC001540 and YWC001541 Series.

We have a range of Test Facilities and Repair  Equipment available.

Can also offer renewal of  most of the IC's on the multi layer Circuit board including also the Relays mentioned above.

 

CLONING ONE PEKTRON SCU UNIT TO ANOTHER

We can clone one board (water damaged or beyond repair) to another thereby allowing  plug and play and re use of existing set-ups and fobs.

Cloning can be used for backup purposes IE by buying a second hand Pektron Unit and Cloning your Units Data to that.

It can then be put away safety until needed and it will work instantly with your current set-up and fobs.

Unlocking of 'Locked out' unit - as the Pektron SCU is in an Alarmed State and without specialist equipment no fobs can be programmed to it.

 

LUCAS 5AS SCU UNIT & SERVICES

The Lucas 5AS SCU is the older alarm system unit in pre-August 2003 MG Rover vehicles.

Very few things went wrong with this unit apart from sometimes melting tracks due to overload

We can offer repairs or replacement units. Fobs supplied and programmed to them

We can also Sync/Match them to the Engine ECU to enable them to work together.

ENGINE ECU - IMMO OFF CONFIGURATION SERVICE

Most cars operate with the Engine ECU and the Immobiliser ECU working together to enable the car to be immobilised. 

In the event of the alarm being activated or the wrong key or remote fob being used.

Sometimes it is advantageous to have the ECU work in the Immo Off configuration.

That means it can be used in similar cars without being 'Matched or Synched' to the Immobiliser ECU of that car. 

Allowing the Engine ECU to be just replaced with the Immo Off one and the car starts.

This is a software solution not a hard-wired box.
