Stainless steel anodes can be used for a variety of electro-plating processes including, electro-stripping, electro-cleaning, gold plating. This is an Insoluble anode, must be impervious to the solution used, so they do not dissolve, and contaminate the plating solution.
Krohn Heavy Duty Electrocleaner is a ready to use solution available in a quart size bottle. It is especially useful for cleaning castings and articles to be plated. The solution removes all grease, finger prints, and polishing compounds in about a minute. Electrocleaning is an essential step in the plating process, removing oils, grease, rouge, passive oxide films, and other surface contaminants left over from manufacturing and polishing.
