Once again we are pleased to offer a very unique and possibly one of a kind item.  This listing is for an early log caliper - HOYT'S IMPROVED PATENT CALIPER LOG RULE made by T.R. TAGGART.  We find information on Taggart working in Grasmere, NH, but nothing on the Manchester, NH location which is plainly readable on the original label.  In better than average condition, the number stampings are all plainly readable.  Measures overall 37" long x 20 1/2" wide.  Brass tips are in place.  Excellent patina, appears to be yellow birch construction.
