Metalworks of the Islamic World The Aron Collection, text by James W. Allan. This hardback from Sotheby's London / New York 1986 catalogue includes a wonderful array of metalworks from Yemen, Turkey, Syria, Iraq,  Afghanistan, Egypt and Iran from the 13th to the late 18th century. 
There are a total 57 line drawings of objects and 44 full pages of photographs that include descriptions, country of origin and period. 168 pages total, including a bibliography and index.

This copy is from renowned collectors of metalworks and the original owner's nameplate is tastefully placed on the inner front board of book. If you wish to research his name, it is Frederick Wilkins of San Antonio, Texas (see photo).
Wilkins was married to Frances Semaan who had a career in Oriental carpet and art objects. The couple shared an interest in Near Eastern and Islamic art, amassing a large collection through their travels and their own 300-plus-piece collection was donated to the San Antonio Museum of Art.

This copy is in excellent condition and is covered with a thick piece of protective plastic over covers with 2 small tears in the plastic only, it has protected the book well. No bumps, tears or markings aside from previous owner's nameplate as noted and shown in photo.
