  • Comments: The Retrode 2 is a computer device that can, out of the box, read retro Super Nintendo/Super Famicom and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive video game cartridges, whether those cartridges are American (NTSC), Japanese (NTSC) or Australian/UK (PAL) in origin. The Retrode can be connected to any computer that has a standard USB port (e.g. desktop computer, laptop/notebook computer, mobile/cell phone, etc). The Retrode itself also comes with 4 controller ports: 2 for SNES/SFC controllers and 2 for Genesis/Mega Drive controllers. With appropriate plugins (sold separately), it can also play other retro systems (including every Nintendo Game Boy game, Sega Master System, Nintendo 64). Please be aware of voltage requirements and the voltage switch when using plugins. Incorrect usage may render the Retrode faulty. Please consult instruction manual thoroughly before usage.

    Some Important Notes

    • Cleaning the contacts with isopropyl alcohol of your game cartridges beforehand is recommended
    • This is a reasonably delicate device so be reasonably gentle in your handling of the hardware - as long as you don't be careless about it then there will be no problem
    • The Retrode can read most of the SNES'/SFC's games library. However, please be aware that due to technical issues, some or all of the games that have special chips in them (e.g. SA1) may be partially or fully incompatible.
    • When using plugins for other consoles (e.g. Nintendo 64, Nintendo Game Boy, etc), please be aware of voltage requirements and the voltage switch. Incorrect usage may render the Retrode faulty. Please consult instruction manual thoroughly before usage.

Combined shipping is possible and the price will depend on the weight of the items. Generally, it may be possible to post 2 or 3 small and light items locally and internationally for the price of 1 shipping. Additionally, there is a maximum of $15 to $25 shipping/postage for Australian buyers. Please e-mail us in advance to confirm shipping prices for a multiple item order.

  • Goods are shipped and delivered during business days only (Monday to Friday). Goods cannot be shipped and delivered on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and public holidays. Delivery time estimates do not include weekends and public holidays. Bubble-wrap, hard cardboard or similar materials will be used as packaging to protect the item(s) against damage in the shipping process.
  • Delivery time estimates are based on after the parcel has been shipped by us, and not immediately after auction end nor the instant after payment.

Information for local (Australian) buyers

  • Delivery times for parcels within Australia is about 2 to 10 business days (depending on State).
  • For higher value or bulky items, we may, at our discretion, add signature on delivery. This means that on the day of parcel delivery, a resident of the household is required to be present. If nobody is at home at the time of attempted delivery, the parcel will be stored at your local post office and you will be given a notification card. You can then pick up the item at your convenience.

Information for international (non-Australian) buyers

  • Delivery times for parcels heading overseas is approximately 35 days. For some countries, it may take a little longer. Occasionally, the customs house in your country may also hold onto overseas parcels for a longer period of time and delay delivery. We are not responsible if this happens so please check with the relevant authorities in your country to determine the current status of the parcel.
  • Parcels will be shipped via international air mail or express and come with online tracking numbers.
  • Please note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

METHODS OF PAYMENT Select your method of payment at the eBay checkout process.
  • Bank/Direct Deposit: A BSB Number, Account Name and Account Number will be provided after auction end. To proceed with payment, go through the Checkout/Payment process and select Bank Deposit. Bank payments clear in 1 to 2 business days (Monday to Friday). Alternatively, you can also do it over the counter at your local bank branch by providing the aforementioned bank details.

  • PayPal: The recommended payment method for international buyers.

OTHER INFORMATION

An Unpaid Item Case will be automatically opened if there is no payment or contact after 7 days. We can extend the payment deadline and delay shipping of goods for the purposes of combined shipping.

Sales are final and non-returnable unless the item is significantly different than described (in the listing). By placing a bid or by buying the item outright, you confirm that you have fully read the information contained in this listing beforehand and you agree to any terms or conditions listed. Accidental purchases or change of minds will incur a $4 fee if the transaction cancellation request is made 24 hours after the time of payment. In this case, the payment will be refunded minus the $4 fee. Transaction cancellation requests can not be met if the item has been paid for and has already been shipped.
