Guy ropes are strung between the top of a

tent pole and a tent peg in the ground

to keep the Tent Pole upright. These ropes are great for corners or in the peak of a tarp setup. The rope is fitted with a splice clip crimped into the centre of the rope which is used to go over the tent pole spigot. Both ends of the rope are pegged out in a diagonal direction away form the poles and the rope grip tightened. This method is sometimes prefered instead of having 2 x single guys ropes on one tent pole.
