I've dated this piece several ways first, knowing the history of where it came from. Second, it came from a jobbers 1 ft thick catalog that had 100's of inserts from the 1940's 50's and very early 60's, and finally, I've looked up old advertising with these products and packaging, and they are all from this time frame and era.

This is a really cool RARE and HARD TO FIND jobbers sell sheet and what a great collectors piece. This sheet is clean, bright and colorful with nice edges and great condition. If you have a cool shop, garage, store, collection or you just like old vintage advertising. If so, than this would look really cool framed on your wall or in your own catalog!

R.J Loock History and Our Pick

These items were sourced from R.J. LOOCK which was a Baltimore Institution when it came to Automobiles. They operated at the same location : 339-345 N Gay st from 1913 until the neighborhood declined and the last heir retired in 2001. They were not your ordinary cookie cutter automotive parts store like you see today. They were parts distributors as well as jobbers for their own LIGHTNIN Parts line as well as for most of the top brands of the day. They sold: Auto supplies, Replacement parts, Garage equipment, Shop equipment, Tires, Tubes, Oil, Grease, Accessories and they even had a Complete Machine Shop.

This may not sound different from an auto zone except Loock was responsible for placing products such as Champion Spark Plugs, Quaker State and Gates belts (to name a VERY few products) into EVERY private and municipal garage that used them in a 5 state area. long before the internet and trade shows, these guys were road warriors that sold stuff the hard way on a massive scale. As the 22 floors of samples that they left behind will attest... thats right... I said 22 FLOORS of Samples! R.J.Loock tried to sell ANY quality product that they thought had a chance . Of course, as jobbers they were responsible for placing advertising in the businesses that they catered to as well.

We were lucky enough to purchase salvage rights to this little treasure trove years ago, and this is the last of our treasures! There was no working elevator and the buildings were 4 floors tall with a basement ................................. and they NEVER threw ANYTHING of value AWAY! It took us 2 months full time to sort through and we are now coming to the end of what we have found. If you like high quality out of the box advertising as well as MINT automotive related collectibles, please bookmark us and keep checking back, we keep finding bits and pieces in our storage warehouse. I think you will be in for a treat.

UPS Overnight & 2-DAY

If you want something shipped overnight, shipping generally leaves around 2pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) Monday through Friday. Ebay only gives us 4 options for shipping services, 2-Day is available as well, please inquire.

Heavy Over 150 Lb Freight

Shipping is provided by Freight Carrier on much larger and heavier items over 150lbs.
For a quote please message us and provide us your zip code, whether it's a business or residence and, if a business does it have a fork lift or dock. We can not get an accurate freight quote without out all this information.

*Local pick up is available on most items by scheduling a pickup day and time, we are conveniently located off of exit 7 from I 83 in Central Baltimore. Ebay restricts sharing our address prior to the sale. Once the sale is complete we will certainly give you our exact address for local pick-up purposes but, it needs to be scheduled. Shipping fees will be waived or refunded.

International Shipping

We gladly ship international, and is available on all our products. Our products should have an international shipping cost to your location and address that you have registered with eBay as your ship to address. If you do not see a shipping cost, please request a quote.

About Us

MD Architectural Rescue is a different type of recycling company. We are based in Baltimore and have operated in the mid Atlantic since 1996. After starting out rescuing fireplace mantles and cast iron door locks from construction dumpsters, we have opened our eyes to may types of waste that are often over looked and fall through the cracks. Our focus is and always will be vintage items of the highest quality. But with our eyes now open we put a lot of effort in bringing you Farm Fresh collectibles straight from the jaws of infamy . All of our items are salvaged , we are NOT antique dealers per se. One week we could be in an old School or Factory, and the following week at a Shipyard or Power plant, you just never know. Also, one day we may be removing Vintage lighting, the next day Signs and Vintage blueprints and the following day cleaning out a machine shop or high end parts room. We literally have NO idea what we have coming around corner, so make sure you add us to your favorites and check back often.
