2017 marked the tenth anniversary of Colas Rail Freight. From a company that started with no locos and just a few log trains to haul, today they are at the top of their game, working country-wide with a fleet of over 50 locos, spanning seven classes and hauling a variety of trains.

This compilation DVD looks at the first ten years starting with Virgin Trains Class 57/3s hauling the Carlisle-Chirk log trains, DRS Class 57s, then 56s, 66s and latterly 60s; Class 47 and 56 steel trains to Boston; Class 60 oil trains; Class 70 engineers trains and cement; Class 56 RHTT and the ever popular Class 37s and 67s on IM trains.

Cab ride highlights include on board the Teigngrace-Chirk log train passing Dawlish; on the Carlisle-Chirk logs over Ribblehead viaduct and on the Preston-Lindsey oil train up the gradient from Preston Docks.
