USB programming cable for Tait T800 Series II repeaters

This handy cable allows you to program your Tait 800 series II repeater from your computer.

One end of the cable has an RJ12 (6 pin) modular plug which connects to the repeater's serial programming socket. The other end has a USB plug which connects to the PC's USB port. The cable contains a USB to serial converter, so the radio appears as a COM port on the PC.

Avoids driver problems often encountered with cheaper Prolific PL2303 cables, instead using the much better supported SiLabs CP2102 chipset and works with all current versions of Windows, MacOS and Linux.

This cable is suitable for Tait T800 series II repeaters that use an RJ12 (6 pin) plug for programming. It can be used with Windows programming software (preferred) and also with the DOSBOX DOS emulator to run DOS programming software under Windows or Linux.

Please note: only the Tait T800 series II is programmable - the original T800 is crystal controlled.
