In 1943, a fire in Rockwell's studio destroyed many of his earlier works. In some cases (such as this), the only surviving examples were on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post. These magazine covers were then copied in order to preserve Rockwell's art, and for many, there were no perfect examples to be copied. The best examples sometimes had streaks, or other imperfections in them. I wish there were "clean" copies to offer you, but there simply are none available, anywhere."
