The item for sale is a pottery bowl that was made in England during the mid nineteenth century by the George Jones & Sons pottery.  The plate is decorated with blue transfer created by printing the design on tissue paper and allowing the pigment to soak into the bowl before it is fired.   The decoration on the bowl features draped flower garlands.  There is embossed decoration around the rim of the bowl as well.  The condition is almost like new.  There is some fine crazing.  The diameter of the bowl is 9".
