The item for sale is an historical document certifying the induction of William Brooks McKaraher into the 32 degree of Freemasonry or Scottish Rite.  McKaraher was apparently a descendant of Pilgrims who arrived on the Mayflower.  The event occurred in 1920 at the Philadelphia Grand Lodge.  There are a few 33 degree Masons from Philadelphia and New Jersey who signed the certificate.  The item is 98 years old, so it has some issues.  The silver seal on the left has some oxidation or corrosion.  The certificate has been laid down on a paper based board.  There are losses to this board at the upper corners and a fold in one of the lower corners.  The sheet is broken above the right eagle's wing.  There is a stain on the back that does not affect the sheet.  The size is 20" x 16".
