NCS Product Synopsis
Update: June 27, 2002

«©NCSX» The Choro-Q franchise started life in 1981 when Takara released the stunted toy cars in Japan. Later that year, Choro-Q was loosed in the United States under the brand of Penny Racers. Snappy television commercials hypnotized kids with pull-back motorized cars popping tricks and spins with the help of a penny placed in the back slot of the racer. The coin added weight to the chassis of the car which allowed it to perform wheelies, spins, and other tricks. Although Penny Racers enjoyed a surge of popularity back in the day, it eventually succumbed to Matchbox and Hot Wheels. In Japan, Takara continues to make Choro-Q toys and video games based on the mini-racers. The latest game from Takara does away with regular cars and gets into squat military tanks. 108 unique armored attack vehicles may be commandeered into battle and customized. 106 different parts including engines, weapons, and treads may be bolted into and onto your tank to enhance it's war-worthiness. SCCQ plays well enough, but the slower pace of the action (tanks move slower) may be cumbersome to speed freaks accustomed to a steady diet of adrenaline.
