Here's an interesting old map of Montague Centre, Massachusetts, with a listing of Business Notices for Montague. This map comes from the Atlas of Franklin County, published by F. W. Beers in 1871. It is approximately 12.5 inches by 15.5 inches. Hand colored.

Most houses on the map are identified by the owner's name. Also identified on this map: Hearse Ho, Cemetery, Pond Brook, saw Mill River, Goddards Brook, Vermont & Mass Railroad, Passenger Depot, Freight Shed, Wood Shed, Churches, Parsonages, Blacksmith Shops, Shoe Shop, Furniture Manufactory, Planing Mill, Saw Mill, Cider Mill, Slaughter House, Pocket Book Manufactory, Harness Shop, etc.

Condition: Paper is age browned, left margin is ragged, will frame up nicely  ... see all scans.  (Map is a little larger than my oversized scanner so see all scans to see all margins).

This map would make a great addition to any Montague village home or office.

I ship maps flat, in a 200 lb test corrugated folder, with a 200 lb test corrugated backer board, in a clear plastic waterproof envelope, by Priority Mail, so it will get to you safely.

A scan of the title page of the Atlas of Franklin County is included to provide information about the atlas in which this map was published. The title page is not included in this auction.
