The retainers shown were not originally installed in the 1968-76 472/500 cu inch engines. They were however used n the 1957-1967 engines. Recently I have been contacted by several owners wanting a bit more sealing coverage for the valve covers on the big block engines. After years of removing and replacing gaskets many have been buying the earlier reinforcements to install their valve covers. I now offer these as a set to update the 1968-1976 big block engines. DESCRIPTION

For a 1972 Cadillac these are a set of valve cover bolts with flange and reinforcements. The bolts are a hex head with built in washer and just a bit longer to make up for the reinforcement. These are new retainers made just like the originals, stamped not cut, they are an exact reproduction!  This listing is for a set of 18 bolts and 18 retainers.  Here is your opportunity to update the sealing capability for your engine.  Reinforcement part # 3877670.  Screw part # 9411942.
