Safely and effectively turn the Cell Log 8M or 8S into a functional battery monitoring system. **The most important function of the board is to isolate the alarms of each Cell Log 8 and tie them into a single NC loop. ***The second most important function is to allow the negative terminal of each Cell Log 8 to be disconnected effectively turning them off when the vehicle is not in use (there is still a very tiny load on cells 2-8 however it's not enough to cause imbalance unless the pack being monitored is only a few mah)
Populated with 4 Cell Log 8's a single board can monitor 32 cells with high voltage, low voltage and differential alarms that break the NC loop of the Cell Log 8 Breakout Module.
This can be used to trigger an alarm, light, shut down a controller or limit throttle. (other equipment/wiring may be required depending on the desired effect).
Multiple Cell Log 8 Breakout Modules can be used together creating a single large NC loop to monitor a full Tesla/Nissan Leaf/Chevrolet Volt battery pack with 96 Li-ion Cells (3x Cell Log 8 Breakout Modules required)
