DESCRIPTION

Ceramic fiber Papers are manufactured from high purity refractory fibers

 and are designed for high temperature insulation. 

Advanced production techniques ensure uniform fiber distribution

 and close control of thickness and density. 

Produced from Alumina Silicate Fibers:  

Minimum addition of carefully selected Bonds, which burn out cleanly in service. 

Kaowool papers are Refractory Ceramic Fiber papers

Produced from Kaowool high purity fibers and organic binders

Excellent tensile strengths and outstanding handling characteristics

For high temperature processes of specialized applications, such as:

  • Aluminum casting and fabrication
  • High temperature filtration
  • Refractory back-up for aluminum melting and holding furnaces
  • Aluminum furnace tap-out plug cover and parting agent
  • Aluminum distributor pan linings
  • Gaskets for any high temperature application
  • Back up lining for metal troughs
  • Heat shields 

Chemical Properties:

A small amount of organic combustible binder will burn out at approximately 300°F

Caution should be exercised during the initial heating. 

Adequate ventilation should be provided to avoid potential flash ignition of the binder out-gassing 

Avoid air entry while at elevated temperature.                

Be safe:  Best to wear protective gloves when handling any Thermal Ceramics Refractory Fiber Blanket (RFB) or any Ceramic Fiber Insulation or Refractory Wool as they are highly spun refractory fibers. Buyer's should choose to wear gloves and goggles while working with any high temp application as a best practice to ensure their safety.

Freight Quote:  To receive the best rate, businesses must provide a zip code and clarify if there is a loading dock or forklift onsite.  For Farm or Residential deliveries, provide a zip code and note if you have a forklift or need a lift gate truck at drop off.  You are welcome to arrange your own carrier and we can help you, or send a driver with ID; both options require a scheduled appointment.  We provide palletizing and protective wrapping, then upload photos at eBay upon the completed carrier pickup.  
Local Pickup:  Local Pickup is always available with an appointment.  We are located in the Oak Hills area off the 15 Freeway at Ranchero Road, 85 miles from the Port of Los Angeles and 175 miles from Las Vegas, and we are 135 miles from both San Diego to our South and Bakersfield to our North.  A forklift is available to load your truck or trailer.
Important:  We only ship freight to U.S. Companies located within the United States.

Returns

Returns:  Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase according to eBay's Policies and Procedures. Buyer pays return shipping. There is no refund on original Shipping and Handling fees unless we made an error or the item was damaged in transit. Returned items are Inspected and may be subject to a restocking fee.
Damaged Items:  If an item arrives damaged, please take five clear photos of the item and its packaging, front, bottom, sides, and send them to us immediately.  DO NOT discard the packaging, as the shipper will need to pick up both the item and its packaging to inspect each prior to a refund.  Contact us right away and we will work to make it right.  While we do our best to ensure your package arrives safely, we cannot control every delivery situation, especially a rogue handler.  We have all seen the videos!


Once the item and its packaging are returned and inspected, a refund will be issued.
