The HX711 is a precision 24-bit analog-to-digital converter breakout board designed to read strain gauge load cells and convert force into accurate digital weight measurements. ⚠️ Module Only -- Load cell / strain gauge sensor is NOT included. This module works with any standard 4-wire strain gauge load cell (1kg, 5kg, 10kg, 20kg, 50kg, etc.). One-time calibration with a known weight is required for accurate readings.


🔧 How It Works

  1. A load cell converts applied force (weight) into a tiny change in electrical resistance
  2. The HX711 amplifies this signal using a programmable gain amplifier (32×, 64×, or 128×)
  3. Its built-in 24-bit ADC converts the amplified signal into a precise digital value

  3. Install the free HX711 library by bogde in the Arduino IDE (Library Manager)
  4. Upload the calibration sketch, place a known weight, and note your calibration factor
  5. Upload the weighing sketch with your calibration factor -- start weighing!

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Load cell is not included -- must be purchased separately
  • One-time calibration with a known weight is required for accurate readings
