On sale would be (1) Unrooted ~Cutting~ of Epiphyllum Chichicastenango Day Bloomer. Mature healthy cactus succulent Cutting (8") inches long. You will receive No-Root (un-root), No Flowers, No Blooms, but 1 leaf cutting only. Please review photos carefully.

This variety is very easy to root, less care, grows fast, spread fast, one stem will produce multiple flowers without fertilizer. Gorgeous flower and pretty leaf. 

Photos are for reference only we will send out healthy mature cutting of a leaf about 7" long. Since this is a cut fresh upon order, we cannot provide photo of exactly which one that will be sent out, but we will select the best healthy cutting for you, so buy with confidence.

Basic growing instructions can be found under listing, we recommend searching the internet for more information. We cannot guarantee how much you will be able to grow, as too many variables come into play, soil condition, ability to garden, weather condition, etc. We guarantee that they arrive as described and are in good viable condition and the planting/rooting rates are accurate. Because we are not there to plant them, we cannot be responsible for rooting failure due to improper planting or climate conditions. Please do your homework first. Most people, following proper directions, should be able to root easily without much trouble.

Plant Description: Epiphyllum Chichicastenango is a member of the Crenatum family and a strong day bloomer. This variety has a unique stem, a must have in your garden. Flower size is X-Large and creamy white in color with a slight hint of amber to the very outer petals. The throat is green. Flower Approx. 10" inches across when fully open. Our mother plant is over 16+ years old. 

This plant is hardy in most area, but keep a watch in hotter areas, leaves could get sunburn. Protect from freeze/frost areas if planting outdoors. Easy to grow and fast-growing. This plant can be grown Indoor or Outdoor, in pots, hanging baskets, but prefers tight pots. This plant prefers bright light, semi-shade, filter sun, under shade no direct sunlight. Chi Chi is super easy to root. In Zone 9 &10 growing year-round our plant has been left outdoor under the patio below 18F some years. But don't take that risk please protect your plant. The shape of the plant is flat, day bloomer, produce XL white flowers. Epiphyllum needs humidity to encourage sturdy growth and flowering. Blooms start in Spring.

Basic Rooting Cutting Instruction: It's easy, this variety roots fast. Start by using 4" or 1-gall pot. (1) Mix your soil, equal parts, fill soil in pot, dig a hole about 2" below the soil, dip the end of cutting in rooting hormone powder (optional), insert the cutting in and cover back up with soil and add water completely. (2) Water only once when first planting, after that if the soil gets dry mist water on the cutting only not the soil to avoid rotten. (3) Keep the plant in a warm area in either partial sun or shade area until rooted, then slowly move to brighter area, no direct sunlight or indoor with sunlight through window is best or inside the greenhouse. Throughout the growing season rooting process could take between 2-4 weeks also depending on climate, and soil condition, you should start to see new growth, then water with slight fertilizer. Rooting process needs a lot of heat/humid to develop roots. Winter rooting process takes longer, we suggest root your plant indoor leave your plant by a window with sunlight shine through is best location or inside the greenhouse. Keep in a warm area.

Soil: Use well-draining soil blend mix. Parts, 50% Miracle-Gro, 50% Cactus mix, 20%-30% Perlite or You may use soil method that works for you.

Weather Plant Care: Shade or filtered sun – no direct sunlight and no frost or freeze. Protect from too much rainwater. Hardiness: 30-40F. Protect the plant if it's below 30F. Protect from very hot weather like above 90F. This plant is sensitive to very hot and very cold. 

Water Usage: On Established plants, watering is light, every location is different use your judgement. Water when soil is dry, once a week on mature plants during summer- time or as needed, less water during winter or no water. 

Fertilizer: On established plants. We suggest use Miracle Gro All-purpose throughout growing season or use your own method that will work for you.
