Detects crankshaft position and engine speed, sending signals to the engine computer for ignition and fuel-injection timing.

1 x Crankshaft Position Sensor with attached wiring lead and 3-pin plug.

• Engine cranks but will not start.
• Intermittent engine stalling.
• Hard starting.
• Check Engine light illuminated.

These symptoms may also be caused by damaged wiring or other engine-control faults.

P0320 — No crankshaft reference signal at the engine computer.

P1391 — Intermittent loss of camshaft or crankshaft position signal.

Code availability varies by model year. Diagnose the circuit before replacing the sensor; these codes alone do not confirm sensor failure.
