This enamelware is made of carbon steel coated with porcelain enamel and trimmed with a stainless steel rim. Oven and broiler safe to 500 degrees. Dishwasher safe, but dry promptly. Do not wash with hard water softeners or lemon based detergents- this will affect the finish. Do not soak. Enamelware is naturally non-stick and washes up with little effort. Do not use abrasives or scratch pads.
Pieces have a base coat with a secondary coat that is swirled on that results in a slightly textured surface. Because of this hand dipped process, no two pieces are alike in pattern or color coverage.
Enamelware should not be used in the microwave. Made in Indonesia.
