Borax Technical Grade in a 1 Pound Bag (454Grams).  This is Borax Pentahydrate in the Granular form.  Borax has is a component that can be used to glaze ceramic crucibles, as a flux in Jewelry casting and soldering. 

Borax when used in melting of Gold and Silver helps to dissolve Oxides and other impurities, during the melting process will produce a fluid slag that collects on the surface of the molten metal. This slag is periodically removed, by use of a carbon-graphite or clay rod.

🟢 This Borax is NOT for Household use - Not for Food use!

NOTE: It is advised that ceramic crucibles be glazed with this Borax. To use it as a glaze for crucibles. Pre-Heat the crucible prior to use, a pinch or two of the borax then can be spread over the crucible and heat applied again to melt and cure the crucible surface. This process will prolong the life and usage.
