A little bit about Golden Gate Hat Co....
William Katz founded the Golden Gate Hat Company in Los Angeles in 1923. He made contacts with Hollywood costume designers when the film industry was in it's infancy and Golden Gate headwear has been widely used in TV and motion pictures ever since. The Golden Gate Hat Company is still family owned and run and today they have customers around the world. At a time when lots of industries are moving overseas, almost every product Golden Gate has is proudly "Made in America!"

I am not sure what the hat is made of could be suede, wool or felt.
The outside brim has a wire in it that can make for easy shaping to your desire.
The hat dimensions: Brim is 3 1/2" if laid flat from side to side is 14 3/8"
The rise is 4 1/2" in the rear and the front is 6"
It has a cool sheep skin Indian weaved head band (non-removable)
