The LearCNC RAMPS 1.4 Electronics Starter Pro Kit includes everything in our RAMPS 1.4 Electronics Starter Plus Kit; then extends the kit coverage even further by adding a set of five(5) LearCNC custom 38mm Nema17 stepper motors. With a rated current of 1.2A these smooth running motors are perfectly matched to the A4988 drivers of the RAMPS 1.4 hardware and with over 4kg.cm of holding torque are more then capable both in typical 3D printing linear motion application or more punishing extruder use.

Ben's Tips:
 -
The RAMPS stepper driver boards have adjustable current limiting via the small trim pot on the board. To set the current limit for the provided motors; for each driver board in use and using the provided ceramic screw driver, turn the trimpot full left then right again just under 1/4 turn. This will get you in the ball park for peak performance, though I would recommend de-tunning by turning the trimpot to the left until such point the motor is unable to move under the required load then back to the right just a little bit.


Please note that connecting or disconnecting a stepper motor or touching motor drivers while powered can damage the modules. Just make sure to power down before messing with any connections.
