Antique Victorian Oil / Kerosene Lamp Early American Pattern Glass Font, Porcelain & Brass Column , Cast Iron Base Stunning pattern glass lamp with brass collar and burner on a brass and porcelain column on a painted cast iron base. The porcelain is a wonderful pattery of cherry blossoms done is what we call a Staffordshire brown on an off-white background. The base has been repainted and a hardboard felt covered bottom panel has been added. No chips, no cracks, no breaks or repairs. The burner is marked "Venus Pat. Dec, 10, 1857." The wick raises and lowers properly without slipping. The chimney is not original nor is it new. The font has 3 vertical manufacturing mold lines. The glass is clear on the top and bottom with the center band being frosted with the pattern being clear. Measurements: 13 1/2" to top of burner; 20 1/2" to top of mounted chimney Carefully packaged and shipped fully insured for loss or damage.
