1 x LearCNC 12V 40mm Brushless Fan

Need to cool stuff down ?

On offer is a great little 12V 40mm x 10mm brushless fan which runs quiet(I personally cannot stand for noisy fans) and provides a surprising amount of airflow. This fan is meant to cool computer graphics cards and as such has been designed for reliable continuous use.

We use these fans for increasing the efficiency of hotend heat sinks, ABS/PLA extrusion cooling for tricky prints and for air flow over RAMPS driver boards.

As far as compatible shrouds and/or mounts are concerned; If you look on thingiverse.com for cooling fan solutions you will find a heap of designs that will suit this 40mm fan as it is arguably the most popular size.

Note: The connector on the fan is some micro molex type and will unlikely plug directly into anything 3D printer related. We don’t see this as an issue and just hack it off anyway to attach extended cables.

Ben’s Tips:
- To reduce the fan output without tying up one of your 12V PWM controller outputs, try placing inline a 1/4Watt resistor in the range of 40-80ohms.
