PUBLISHER: Dodd, Mead and Co
DATE/EDITION: 1908, First Edition. Same dates and indicates Published October, 1908 on the copyright page.
BINDING: Hardbound in pale green cloth with gold lettering on the spine and a color pastedown illustration on the front cover, 7 1/2" x 10 1/2".
DUST JACKET: There is a plain paper jacket with an oval cutout to display the cover illustration. Gilt edge around the oval and gilt lettering at bottom front states "To My Valentine". There is toning to the upper left and lower right front corners but the jacket is otherwise in very good condition. The book also comes in a box. the box is in poor condition in that the box lid and bottom sides have broken off. The parts are all present and the illustration on the lid of the box is clean and intact, priced 3.00 net on the bottom front.
BOOK CONDITION: The book is in fine condition with sharp corners, spotless covers, bright lettering and pastedown and tight binding. There are some discolored spots here and there near the inside gutters that I suspect are from the glue used in the binding process and probably common. The spots are not dramatic and none of the plates are affected, they are all spotless and bright and the interior is very clean and unmarked.
DESCRIPTION: There are a total of 22 full page full color plates. This is a beautiful copy of this terrific Harrison Fisher book.
