Description: German-made mantel clock with Arabic numerals, set in a decorative marble and painted alabaster case with chromium balls. Very typical Art Deco aesthetics of the late 1920s-early 1930s.
The face plate is marked "Foreign" - it was between 1926 and 1933 when German-made clockworks were marked "foreign" to meet the requirements of British and American import laws.
A beautiful decorative object - a true aesthetic example of the Art Deco epoch!
The case shows some wear, with nicks on the edges and chipped feet at the bottom. The works would probably need some cleaning.
Please keep in mind: it is made of stone, so it is a little heavy - weighs about 4.5 lb
The clock is 8.75" X 5.5" X 3.25".
