remote itself is not typically included in the standard box unless specified.

According to ReQuest’s official product information, the F3 is a networked multi‑zone audio/video server that supports Maestro control and can be operated via IR (infrared) for the on‑screen GUI ReQuest+1. The ReQuest support site lists F3 IR codes and an IMC/MP remote protocol, which means the system is intended to be controlled by a compatible remote, but the documentation does not state that the remote is shipped with the unit ReQuest.

In practice, many ReQuest F3 units sold through dealers or resellers (such as Audiogon) are listed as coming with a remote control and two USB IR receivers Audiogon. This suggests that some sales bundles include the remote, but it is not guaranteed in the standard manufacturer’s package.

Key points:

  • Included in box? Not guaranteed by ReQuest’s official specs; some third‑party sellers list it as included Audiogon.

  • Remote compatibility: Yes — ReQuest provides IR codes and remote control protocols for the F3 ReQuest.

  • Control options: You can also control the F3 via Maestro (tablet/mobile), web interface, or other integration methods

  • ReQuest.

Recommendation:
If you want to be certain, check the specific product listing or ask the seller if the remote is included. If not, you can purchase a compatible ReQuest IMC/MP remote or use the provided IR codes to program your own remote.

Does the ReQuest F3 Include a Hard Drive When Shipped?

No — the ReQuest F3 does not ship with a hard drive installed; it is delivered with a solid‑state operating system and no media storage, and you must order a specific hard drive or SSD model for storage.

According to ReQuest’s official product information, the F3 is available in multiple configurations:

  • F3HD‑SSD – solid‑state operating system, no media storage

  • F3HD‑320 – 320 GB hard drive

  • F3HD‑1TB – 1 TB hard drive

  • F3HD‑2TB – 2 TB hard drive ReQuest

This means the base F3 unit you receive from ReQuest will not have a hard drive pre‑installed. You must select and order the version with the desired drive capacity, or add one yourself, before shipping.

The F3’s design allows up to three NAS devices to be added, and it supports both traditional hard drives and solid‑state drives, but storage is not included in the standard package
