This is an incredibly rare collectible piece from the cafe at the Louvre Art Museum in France from the mid century. The front features a modernist black and white silhouette design with the name of the cafe underneath, and on the back is stamped “melaform” which is a melamine plastic — commonly used in the era for serveware. The platter could be used for food or drinks. I have it here displayed with barware — please note the glasses will not come with the tray. The tray measures 10.5 x 15.” There is a little light scratching of the plastic on both front and the back and some edgewear that I believe is primarily from manufacturing this type of plastic. One back corner does have some wear from use. Please see all photos for vintage condition. Overall good condition and quite a rare find.
