This intricate silk embroidery features a central vignette of a songbird perched upon a blossoming branch, rendered in a sophisticated palette of slate blue, soft orange, and cream. The central panel is framed by tiered decorative borders, including a fine geometric fret pattern and an outer brocade-style silk border with repeating floral rondels. The work demonstrates traditional Chinese needlework techniques, with fine satin stitching creating a lustrous, light-reflective surface characteristic of high-quality silk textiles from the mid-to-late 20th century.
