A wonderfully distinctive vintage 9ct gold buckle ring, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1988.

Designed as a traditional buckle, the broad gold band is decorated with beautiful scrolling foliate engraving, with darkened recessed detail giving the pattern lovely definition. Two small faceted pink gemstones are set amongst the engraved decoration, adding subtle flashes of colour.

The buckle motif has been used in jewellery for centuries as a symbol of loyalty, strength and enduring connection, making this a particularly characterful vintage piece.

Substantial in appearance without being overly heavy, the broad band and large size also make this a lovely unisex ring.
