It also features surround sound and bass/treble tone control.
The CD mechanism is a 1-CD type and can play music CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs.
The MD mechanism is a 1-MD loading type with high-speed editing (CD→MD) at 4x speed (HCMS compatible).
It also supports direct editing (CD→MD) with one-touch operation, MD stereo long-play recording/playback circuit (MDLP), MDLP group mode, character/katakana input, character input during playback, top position recording, my track edit, and song number editing (split/combine/delete/sort).
Additionally, it supports monaural 2x long-play recording.
The tuner supports FM wide/AM bands and has preset tuning.
